Now that you’ve been admitted to the University of Maryland, there are a number of steps to take to connect with our community and learn more about becoming a student at Maryland.
1. Check your decision online. This site will give you important information about your major, residency status, and whether or not you have been admitted to any special programs. To explore what awaits you in your academic major, visit here. For questions about residency requirements, click here.
2. To respond to your offer of admission, please confirm your enrollment. Once you confirm, it may take up to 48 business hours for your confirmation to be processed and posted to your record. You will need to log-in to this site using the same email log-in and password you used to create your admissions profile and online application. If you did not create one earlier, you will be directed to establish a log-in and password now. You may also decline your offer of admission here.
3. To request housing and select dining preferences, complete the online housing request form. For more information about housing and dining, click here.
4. Visit! Now that you’ve been admitted, join us for a Spring Open House, tour or another event to become acquainted with our students and faculty and all that our campus has to offer.
5. Learn more about Orientation and register for an orientation date.
6. Through the Orientation Office website, you will be able to create a university e-mail/directory ID, take the online required math placement exam, fill out required surveys, and download the required immunization form.
7. How will you finance your education? Learn more about financial aid and merit scholarships.
8. Find out how you can receive transfer credit for your transfer courses and course credit for AP and IB exams.
9. Start to prepare for your arrival to Maryland - investigate communication, technology and transportation services on campus.
10. If you have been admitted as a freshman for the spring semester, you may want to look into taking classes on campus in the fall through the Freshmen Connection program.
