Transfer Profile Information

We admit to our undergraduate programs the most highly qualified students who have academic profiles that suggest exceptional ability.

For the Fall 2008 Transfer class, we received 6,701 applications for a class of 2,432. The average college grade point average for an admitted transfer student was 3.19.

For the Spring 2009 Transfer class, we received 2,735 applications for a class of 895.  The average college grade point average for an admitted transfer student was 3.15.

Maryland Transfer Advantage Program

In addition to Prince George's Community College and Montgomery College, Anne Arundel Community College and the College of Southern Maryland have now entered into partnerships with the University of Maryland's Transfer Advantage Program.  This program allows students to study at a community college while participating in enhanced transfer and advising activities at the University of Maryland.  Students who successfully complete the program are assured transfer admission.  For more information please visit the Maryland Transfer Advantage Program Web site.
