Title:
Assistant Director
Department:
College Park Scholars
Biography:
I'm very fortunate to have been at Maryland since 1996, first as a student and now as an alumnus and staff member. My work allows me a diverse set of responsibilities within the College Park Scholars community. In addition to coordinating many of the special events in Scholars, from the "Scholars in New York" trip each April to the Citation Ceremony each October, I also work with current and former Scholars daily. I head up the internship program within Scholars, have taught courses for our Advocates for Children and Life Sciences programs, and also serve as the main communication hub for the community. Finally, I also spend a healthy amount of time working with alumni, parents, and the development branch of the program.

What have you learned from working at a university with a diverse community?:
It brings so many voices and perspectives to the table at a campus where everyone matters. That's how I feel at Maryland.
What advice would you give to a prospective student?:
Take advantage of everything afforded you. Once you arrive at Maryland, seek out opportunities and take advantage of our proximity to the nation's capital.
