What extracurricular activities have you been involved with at Maryland?:
Alpha Delta Pi, College Park Scholars Family Studies, Student Advisory Committee, Counseling Center, Student Advisory Committee
What is your fondest memory of Maryland?:
I met my husband at Maryland - he asked me to marry him on a trip back to campus. In April 2006 we returned again to Maryland to get married at the Chapel and celebrate in Riggs.
What was the most significant thing you learned while attending Maryland?:
I learned that a large university doesn't mean you will get lost. I was always amazed by the network of people I developed and how close I felt to my professors and classmates.
Why did you choose Maryland?:
I walked onto the campus and I just knew Maryland was for me. I felt at home there and I was able to be a part of the College Park Scholars Program which made a big campus seem smaller.
What did you learn from attending a university with a diverse community?:
I learned that diversity means a chance to see things out of a different lens. I carry this with me today in my professional life.
What advice would you give a prospective student?:
Come to Maryland and I promise you will have an amazing experience that goes far beyond what you learn in the classroom.
