You have done your research and explored your options, and you know that Maryland is the perfect place for you. Now it is time to apply.

Beginning with the 2017-18 admissions cycle, we will use the application offered through The Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success (The Coalition). This innovative platform is designed to increase college access and affordability for all students by providing free resources and collaborative tools that will help you prepare for the college search and planning process.

We encourage you to create your profile within The Coalition now, in preparation for the application being available in mid-August!

Students currently seeking admission for Fall 2018 should apply using the application provided by The Coalition application.

August 1, 2017 will be the last date available to submit an application using our secure Application Portal. Those who submit an application using our Application Portal by August 1, will still be able to check the status of their application and receive their admission decision through the portal.

The Coalition application, which will be available in mid-August, should be used by students seeking freshman or transfer admission, or students seeking admission to the University of Maryland, College Park at Shady Grove.

The University of Maryland is a proud member of The Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success, along with more than 90 public and private colleges.
